Lack of match practice, lack of training, the pitch being a leveler, Woolley being stronger than before and us over-playing the ball all contributed to the result.
Yeah, we played poorley but not poor enough to lose the game. We certainly were not guilty of complacency nor was there a lack of effort. In some ways it was almost out of your hands!
Its not your fault that we couldn't train for the last 3 weeks or that we only had 2 fixtures in the previous 5 weeks - you were like a team of strangers and emphasises the importance of training. It was a different kind of defeat to the ones at Heanor or Matlock where we sat complacent, waiting for our devine right to take the lead, which is why this time changing room door stayed firmly on its hinges after the game!
